Sichuan Guangya Polymer Chemical Co.,Ltd (GYPC) is a high-tech enterprise which develops and produces all kinds of oilfield chemical products for safely and efficiently developing and exploiting the oil-gas field , as well as provides relevant technique services. With its rapid development, its annual revenue reached more than RMB200 million in 2013.
GYPC is supported by the industrial technology advantages of Southwest Petroleum University and owns a products development and technique service team which combines a group of doctors, Ｍasters and many other professionals. Currently, the research and technique professionals account for over 20% of the total number of employees. GYPC set up a research center constituted of Reserve Technology Research Department, Products Develop Department, and Application Technology Research Department, and invested over RMB5 million to set up a sophisticated experimental platform. In recent 2 years, the annual R&D budget reaches over RMB 8 million, which is about 4% of the annual output.
The leading products, Associative Polymer Flooding Agent (AP series) and Associative Polymer Viscosifier Applied in Non-crosslinked Fracturing Fluid (GRF series) are the important research results of “Academician Pingya Luo Project Team” under the China national key research programs. All of those products have achieved international advanced technical level.
Among them, AP series has been successfully applied in Bohai Oilfield, Daqing Oilfield and Shengli Oilfield of China three main petroleum companies, CNOOC, PetroChina and Sinopec. Especially, in Bohai Oilfield, the incremental oil production has reached 2.5 million tonne because of the excellent flooding effects of AP series.
GRF series applied for fracturing are aimed for efficient exploration and development in dense reservoir, shale gas and coalbed methane. It could replace traditional products for its high efficiency and low cost.
In addition, the plugging agent products, which developed for cavern, fractured or broken zones and other zones where large loss, loss of return or mall return exist and for those when the bridge plugging or PWD (plugging while drilling) could not solve, played an irreplaceable role in several serious blowout accidents.
