AP-P3 Associative Polymer Flooding Agent
AP-P4 is originally developed by "Academician PingyaLuo (Chinese Academy of Engineering) Project Team" under the China national key research programs, to solve the exploration problems of thick reservoir, high permeability reservoir, and high temperature & high salinity reservoir in offshore heavy oilfield.

AP-P4 offers the following advantages
● Solution can be prepared with oilfield produced water with high flooding effect. It would enhance the oil recovery by 20% OOIP, or even higher.
● Existing polymer flooding equipment for HPAM could be adopted for AP-P4 without major modifications.
● High Resistance Coefficient and high Residual Resistance Coefficient could be achieved under high salinity and high permeability conditions. AP-P4 is applicable for high hardness water where the Ca2+ and Mg2+ concentration is bellow 800mg/L.
● Through simple crosslinking, AP-P4 could be also used in corresponding polymer gel systems for profile controlling and plugging. Compared with other similar products, it has less consumption, but better strength and aging stability.
Field Cases
Offshore polymer flooding in Bohai Oilfield Suizhong 36-1 operations zone
The applied field conditions: salinity of injection produced water (9000mg/L including800mg/L of Calcium and magnesium ion), temperature of reservoir (63°C), permeability (2000 - 8000md), viscosity of underground crude oil (60 - 150mPa•s), average well spacing (350m), layer thickness (61m).
19-injection and 84-production were carried out until 2012 inageⅠand 4-injection and 20-production well tests were carried out in 2008 in stageⅡ.
The field application showed that oil increment of AP-P4 has achieved 38.4m3/t by the end of 2012 which provided enormous economic benefit for Bohai Oilfield.
